How does yugi beat atem

Combined, the two have had some iconic moments that show that they are not to be trifled with. One of the earliest examples of this comes from their duel with Pegasus in Duelist Kingdom. Pegasus had absolutely no qualms with using his Millennium Eye in order to cheat in his duels , and Yugi wasn't going to let that happen when his grandpa's life was on the line. Thus, Yugi and Atem starting switching off between one another so neither knew which cards the other had played, and Pegasus wasn't able to cheat anymore.

Using this strategy, they beat the creator at his own game. Yugi had a huge challenge ahead of him when he had to take on Strings, who was being controlled by Marik and was armed with Slifer the Sky Dragon. Yugi used Slifer's biggest advantage to destroy it. He forced Strings to continue drawing cards through an infinite combo that he set up by forcing Slifer to continue attacking him, causing Strings to deck out.

Talk about a creative way to take out a God card. When Marik more or less cheated in order to defeat Mai in a duel that she should have won, she was going to have to take a direct blast from the Winged Dragon of Ra. One night, when Tag and Anzu were three, they caught them out of bed, an hour past their bedtime as they were pestering Yugi for the Millennium Puzzle story.

There is no way Seto would allow someone else to run his company if he was alive. It is more than likely that at the very least Kaiba brothers are dead by that time.

Yugi beat Yusei though. At the WCQ. Yusei will probably win, seeing as his deck is arguably the most refined out of all of them. Winning both the Duelist Kingdom and Battle City Tournaments definitely puts him on top of the leaderboard as the best duelist ever.

He also uses the Gandora archetype. Once Yugi is officially separated from Atem in Dark Side of Dimensions , he uses a sort of combination of the two styles, with the Magician Girls and Gandora archetypes in his deck.

When Yugi and Atem duel against Pegasus in Duelist Kingdom , they're forced to swap constantly in order to keep Peagsus's mind-reading powers at bay, and it is shown to take a huge toll on Yugi, to the point that he can no longer keep up and stay standing in the duel.

Atem is able to handle Shadow Games much easier than Yugi is able to. While others like Joey and Mai can generally handle them, Yugi needs Atem's help in this area.

During the Waking the Dragons arc, Atem feels that he is forced to use The Seal of Orichalcos in order to win his duel against Rafael , and he ends up going through with it and loses the duel. Yugi was begging Atem to not use the seal, and Atem simply refused to listen. Had Yugi had the lead role in this duel, he would have listened to Atem and not used The Seal of Orichalcos.

Yugi and Atem look very similar to one another, obviously, but they're not exact carbon copies of one another. Yugi and Atem have different eye shapes, and Yugi's hair is not as intense as Atem's is. Ishizu then led them across the desert to an underground cavern all the way to the back, where there was a large door with a carving of The Eye of Wdjat which Ishizu explained would unravel the Pharaoh's spirit from Yugi's, further explaining that in order to pass on, he must act the Rite of the Duel.

Yugi approached the Shrine of The Millennium Items and placed all the seven Millennium Items in their appropriate places. A wave of light passed over Yugi, his shadow started to split in half and then his body. The Pharaoh and Yugi walked opposite ways to the far sides of the cavern.

The Final Duel had begun. Yugi falls to his knees, cries and tells Atem that he Yugi is weak. Atem tells him that he would not cry if he were in his place. Yugi says that that is the point, he admits that he could not follow in the footsteps of Atem. Atem reminds him that he is not a coward and it was he who taught Atem about the principles needed to win. He also says that now he is leaving, there would be no one else for Yugi to follow and that there would only be one Yugi.

The Eye of Wdjat glows on the wall, and Ishizu says the spirit of the Pharaoh has been freed. Atem stands before the Eye and declares that he is Atem. The wall parts to reveal a glowing light, and Atem walks towards it.

They were just getting to know him, and Atem was just getting to know himself, but now he's leaving. She knows they should be happy for him, but its hard when they're losing their best friend and they don't understand why.
